RE: MAKING MUSIC FOR SOMEONE I LOVE
Happy New Year! It’s a new year and, in 2018, we are very excited to announce a new program at Crisafulli School called “Making Music for Someone I Love.”
As a Music Educator, one of my goals is that the joy of performing Music extends beyond the classroom. My hope is that songs learned in the classroom can be shared beyond the confines of the school building and school day and shared in meaningful ways with family and other important adults in a child’s life. Music is a performing Art and sharing that Art with family and friends helps students gain confidence and skill in performance as well as to create an opportunity for encouragement from adults. It is also a wonderful vehicle for school-to-home communication as well as fostering a love for Music at home.
For all these reasons and more, we will begin our “Making Music for Someone I Love” program at Crisafulli School. Our program begins January 22, 2018 and will run through March 31, 2018. Students will be sharing Music learned in class with important adults in their life. Adults are asked to please acknowledge this sharing through a written note sent to school (please address to Mrs. Oliver) or an e-mail (send to [email protected]). Once communication is received from an adult, students will receive a sticker on a music note which will be posted in my classroom. Students are welcome to share as many songs as they would like and will receive a sticker on this chart each time I receive communication from an adult about the performance of a song learned at school. At the end of the program, all students who participated will also receive a certificate to go home along with the music-note chart.
We are very excited to hear about all the wonderful performances for those special people that Crisafulli students love! Thank you so much for your help and support of the Music program.
Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions about the program. Also, this information can be found on my web-site as well at: robifullimusic.weebly.com
